21 Day Fix: Day 1 Total Body Cardio Fix

As I mentioned in some of my previous posts, Total I started doing the 21 Day Fix Challenge. I will be sharing my experiences as I go along.

The Monday workout is the Total Body Cardio Fix. The exercises are between 30 to 60 seconds long with a 15 to 20 second break in between reps. They of course start off with a warm up which unfortunately for me was jogging in place and jumping jacks. It's not that I can't jog in place, it's the fact that I live on an upper level and the floors are wood. My upstairs neighbors drive me nuts, so out of courtesy to those below me, I modified mine. I still got the same warm up, just differently.

The exercises after the warm up were great. You can modify them to not use the dumbells which I did for two of them, but I felt "the burn" in all of the areas you're meant to. Two of the workouts, as just mentioned, I had to modify due to knee issues. Basically, I didn't use the weights and instead relieved pressure from my knees by helping myself up. The other workout I modified the same way because of my knees. As you can imagine, I worked my entire body. Even the brief ab workout (there's daily ab workouts) was effective.

I give today's workout a thumbs up! I can't wait to try tomorrow's...Upper Fix!
